Agricultural Systems Management (AGSM) at Texas A&M University has a long-standing history rooted in innovation, leadership, and the advancement of the agricultural industry. The program began in 1957 as a mechanized agriculture curriculum within the Department of Agricultural Engineering before officially becoming Agricultural Systems Management in 1988 to better reflect its focus on technology, business, and management in agriculture. The Agricultural Systems Management Club is built around leadership, service, fellowship, excellence, integrity, and respect - values that align closely with the Aggie Core Values and help create a welcoming environment for students of all backgrounds and interests. One of the best parts about our organization is that no prior experience is needed to join. Whether you have a background in agriculture and machinery or are simply interested in learning more, everyone is welcome. There is no formal application process; becoming a member is as simple as attending our bi-weekly meetings held in the Agricultural Engineering Power & Machinery Building, paying dues, and getting involved. Our meetings provide members with opportunities to network, hear from industry speakers, enjoy food, and build connections with fellow students who share an interest in leadership, agriculture, and hands-on learning.
