Mrs. Rodriguez believes establishing a strong, caring, and loving rapport with her students is the most important aspect of having success.
Mrs. Rodriguez earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida, and a Certification as a Dyslexia Specialist from the University of Florida. Mrs. Rodriguez is a certified EBLI instructor, IEW registered instructor, trained in the Barton Reading and Spelling Program, Foundation in Sounds, and Handwriting Without Tears.
Mrs. Rodriguez has several years of experience working with students with and without formal diagnoses and students of varying needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Expressive and Receptive Language Disorders, Auditory Processing Disorder, and more. She works with students from five years old through adulthood.
Mrs. Rodriguez provides instruction with excitement, creativity, and a level
of clarity and guidance that enables her students to achieve success.

ELEMENTARY
letter or number reversals continuing past the end of first grade
slow, choppy, inaccurate reading:
guesses based on shape or context
skips or misreads prepositions (at, to, of)
ignores suffixes
can’t sound out unknown words
terrible spelling
often can’t remember frequent words such as "they, were, does" or homonyms (their, they’re, and there)
difficulty telling time with a clock with hands
trouble with math
