Tampa Bay Pirate XC was founded by Coach Bill Sowell after retiring from Hillsborough County Public Schools in physical education. Pirate XC's mission is to create a finish line mentality in running and in life. This means learning how to practice, pace, and to never give up. All runners and abilities are welcome in this volunteer-led team.Â
Fundraising is critical to keeping Tampa Bay Pirates XC accessible to all kids. Each year, the organization raises funds from companies and individuals to cover only necessary expenses like jerseys, race fees, and end of season event.
Your contribution will never go to someone's salary - it goes straight to the kids.
