The Tampa Bay Rays and Los Angeles Dodgers will play Game 2 of the 2020 World Series on Wednesday night. The Dodgers secured a Game 1 victory on Tuesday, winning 8-3 behind strong performances from Clayton Kershaw, Cody Bellinger, and Mookie Betts. Historically, the team that wins Game 1 in a best-of-seven series has won the series more than 60 percent of the time.
The Tampa Bay franchise has never won a World Series in its 22-year long existence. The Dodgers are aiming for their first World Series title since 1988, however, the club is playing in their third Fall Classic in four years. L.A. lost to the Astros in 2017 and the Red Sox in 2018.

The Dodgers took Game 1 8-3 on Tuesday night behind Clayton Kershaw's strong start and home runs from Mookie Betts and Cody Bellinger. Betts, acquired from the Boston Red Sox in an offseason trade, also stole two bases in the game.
The Rays, who struggled with timely hitting in the American League Championship Series, went 2-for-5 with runners in scoring position in Game 1, but will need to create more opportunities as the series moves forward.

After a slow start in Game 1 of the 2020 World Series, the Rays jumped out to an early lead Wednesday and held on to win Game 2 and level the series.
Coming into the game, Brandon Lowe was 6 for 61 (.098) this postseason, but he broke out in a big way in Game 2. Lowe got things started for Tampa Bay with a solo shot in the first inning. Then, after Joey Wendle delivered a two-out, two-run double in the fourth, Lowe added a two-out, two-run homer in the fifth to give the Rays a 5-0 lead.
