Ammar Eqbal

Ammar is presently working as an institute funded Research scholar at P&M Lab, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. He has obtained his M.Tech. from NIT, Rourkela in ceramic engineering. Previously he has obtained his B.Tech. in  mechanical engineering from Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology with a 8.49 CGPA. He completed his Matriculation from St Xavier’s High School, Patna with 90% marks then moved to Loyola High School, Patna and completed the intermediate in science, with 82% marks. 

Currently, he is working on the flash sintering of zirconia ceramics with additives & dopants. His hobby is surfing internet in his spare time. Additionally, he also has developed cooking as a hobby to help his mother.

Sadanand Kumar Arya

Sadanand is currently pursuing  his Ph.D. in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at IIT Patna as an institute funded Research scholar. He has completed his Master’s degree in FOUNDRY TECHNOLOGY with overall CGPA of 8.55 (Metallurgical and Materials Engineering) from NIT Jamshedpur. His M.Tech. thesis work  was on “Comparison of Fatigue Performance Between Conventional Micro-Alloyed Steel Vs Nano-Precipitate Ferritic Steel”. He had received his B.E in MECHANICAL AND PRODUCTION ENGINEERING with C.G.P.A of 8.28 from SATHYABAMA UNIVERSITY, Chennai. His B.Tech. project work was on “Design and Fabrication of heat recovery system using PCM(s)”.  He did his Senior Secondary in B.S.E.B from A.N COLLEGE, Patna (MAGADH UNIVERSITY) with aggregate of 65.4%. He got 80.6% in C.B.S.E matriculation exam from New D.P.S, Patna. His current research involves Flash Sintering of Piezoelectric Ceramics.

He has great faith in this line “Books are best friend for today and forever”.  He is fond of reading books especially short stories, poems, novels and autobiographies. Yoga and Social Service (for education of poor and deprived) are other things which he enjoys the most in his leisure time.

Rohit Raj

Rohit is presently working as an institute funded Research scholar at P&M lab, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. He has obtained his M.Tech. from  NIT Rourkela in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering with 8.3 CGPA. Previously he has obtained his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from United College of Engg.& Research, Greater Noida. He completed his Matriculation from St.M.G.Public School, Patna then moved to A.N.College, patna and completed the intermediate in science.

Currently, he is working on the flash Sintering of Lithium Fluoride. He is a fitness freak  who love to hit the gym. His punch line for the life is “ be optimistic, nothing is impossible”.


Jabaseelan P

Jabaseelan is presently working as a Ph.D. student at P&M lab, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering under joint supervision of Dr. Tamoghna Chakrabarti and Dr. Dinesh Kumar Kotnees. Jabaseelan is also working as a Manager, Technology in the ceramics division of Carborundum Universal Limited. The topic of his Ph.D. is the Cold sintering of ceramics in the presence and absence of polymers.

Shubham Kumar Singh

Shubham is presently working as a Ph.D. student at P&M lab, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering under joint supervision of Dr. Tamoghna Chakrabarti and Dr. Devinder Yadav. He has obtained his M.Tech. from NIFFT, Ranchi in Materials Science and Engineering, with an 8.04 CGPA. Previously he obtained his B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from Pune University with 69.22% marks. He completed his matriculation from Pitts Modern School, Gomia with a 9.6 CGPA and then moved to Magadh University and completed the intermediate in science, with 68% marks. Previously, he worked as a Design and Quality Engineer at Blue Star Casting Pvt Ltd, Jamshedpur. Currently, he is working on the liquid phase flash sintering. His hobbies are reading and writing poems, listening to music, playing cricket & badminton.
