Melancholy can be a happy place. There are a lot of songs in my repertoire that mix sadness and joy at once, like All the Lovers (2010). And we all like to dance with tears in our eyes from time to time. Robyn handles this to perfection on hits like Dancing on my Own (2010) and Call your Girlfriend (2011), as does Gloria Gaynor on the anthem I Will Survive (1978). These are songs that seem tailor-made for dancing but contains lots of different feelings beneath the surface. As for my personal reflections, most of the songs are about my life. Story, for instance, is about the people who help you through difficult times and who, as a result, become part of you.

Kylie was about 42 at the time of 'Higher', not exactly one foot in the grave. In defence of Madonna though, 'Masterpiece' is in my opinion one of the best songs she has ever recorded, and it was criminal that it didn't do better than it did. Should have been a top ten easily.

And the only reason Madonna is losing out certain numbers in the UK to her, is because she no longer has a real presence in the UK AND, lets be honest since 2012 Madonna's musical output has been unusually low. Just 3 studio albums and a remix album vs 4 studio albums and 3 hits packages for Kylie. Still Madonna continues to do what she does best... lead the pack. Even at 64 SHE led the way to where music is going discovering the power of TikTok with 2 remixed songs which both have garnered around 140 million streams WW. Frozen & Back That Up have even managed gold status in countries like France, the US, Italy and many others... because the charts are becoming obsolete. Madonna didnt need to lift a finger in promo with barely no physical copies and shes still landing GLOBAL hits at 64. But never mind smiley kylie is at number 9 in the UK only so it must mean she's the greatest female artist of all time? ??????

Hasnt released anything good since 2005???? LOL Well that is a matter of opinion and thankfully, the critics dont share that opinion. If you're basing it chart placings then you're deluded.. 90% of Kylies musical output has been critically panned, mediocre pop with no cultural significance or depth. Her albums rely on the same generic bland genre, basic pop. She has no Like A Prayer, Ray of Light, Evita, or culture defining albums like Erotica or Madame X which i might add, contain world music that would never cater to the air head gay fans who happily sit there listening to Kylies meaningless, repetitive rubbish shes be churning out since the 80's. Madonna is on another level. Her albums frequent The Times, Billboard, Rolling Stone lists of greatest albums, videos and songs of all time. I mean the last time Kylie tried to be experimental she got cancelled for the whole of the 90's. Shes been through that many record labels in a bid to stay in the game, she's no more labels left to try!

Norwegian singer Ina Wroldsen and English producer Lostboy met in London in February 2022 to collaborate on new music. They wrote "Padam Padam" over the course of two days during the session. "I'm married to an Englishman, and my mother-in-law from north London would always go, 'Oh my heart's going ped-ou, ped-ou," Wroldsen said of the song's title. After finishing the song together, they were unsure which artist would record it, and had considered pitching it to British singer Rita Ora or a Eurovision performer.

She returned to the US in June 2023, headlining at iHeartMedia 103.5 KTU 's KTUphoria 2023 at the Jones Beach Theater in New York. During the appearance, she performed "Padam Padam" as part of a set list with nine other songs. There was also a live performance at New York City's LGBTQ+ club Horse Meat Disco, where, at the beginning of song, there were sound issues, so Kylie asked for the audience to sing along it with her for a second time.

Ellie Goulding's fifth album 'Higher Than Heaven' was pushed back nearly two weeks after she revealed she had some 'exciting opportunities'. The album, which includes 12 songs has now been released.

MINOGUE: Oh, all sorts. "Tension" was recorded over a year and a half. A lot of life can happen in a year and a half. There's definitely songs that are stuff that I was going through at the time and then others that are purely fantastical. We're creating a story that is not what I'm going through or not relevant to me, but definitely something I can relate to.

MINOGUE: I don't think I've done many songs that would sound like that. It's got that '90s breezy, you know, window-down car. In fact, when my A&R spoke to me about that song before he sent it to me, he said, I know you're not a rapper, but this could be fun to try. It could work really well. It could be awful. But of course, I was like, I'll give it a try, and it was quite refreshing to do something once I managed to get it right. And now I love it as a singalong.
