The students of The Alberta School of Performing Arts are critical thinkers, respectful, creative and socially/emotionally responsible learners who use attitudes, skills and knowledge of lifelong learners and are fully prepared for life and career success.

TASPA Counseling Department Mission Statement:

The mission of The Alberta School of Performing Arts Counseling Department is to enhance the quality of life for all students by providing them with equitable access to comprehensive and developmentally appropriate counseling services which promote success. Students will be taught to be critical thinkers, respectful, creative and socially/emotionally responsible. Through the leadership of the school counselor, students will focus on academic, career and social/emotional growth. The school counselor will advocate for students’ needs to be lifelong learners as well as college and career ready. By collaborating with stakeholders, the school counseling program will have the support and resources needed to prepare students for social, academic and career excellence.
