Tam Mai

I am an applied economist with research interests in labor and education topics. My current research focuses on the role of social networks in labor markets and educational settings, combining confidential administrative data with credible empirical designs to establish causal inference.

I am a Lecturer in the Department of Economics at Columbia University. Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Economics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2023-2025.
