Hello! I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Tennessee State University. I earned my BS from Morehouse College and Ph.D. from UT Arlington, followed by a three-year NSF MPS-Ascend Postdoctoral Fellowship with UT Southwestern Medical Center and UT Arlington. My research interests lie in mathematical biology and applied mathematics, focusing on compressed sensing and deconvolution techniques for non-invasive medical imaging (MRI/MRSI) and numerical modeling for mathematical endocrinology. As an educator, I am deeply committed to fostering an inclusive environment and broadening STEM participation for historically marginalized groups. My teaching balances rigorous academic standards with practical, skills-based learning, ultimately aiming to empower the next generation of mathematical scientists through dedicated mentorship and undergraduate research.
