Dear Tall Trees Turkey Trot Runners,
After much thought and consideration, we have come to the very difficult decision that we cannot safely hold the Turkey Trot this year - and likely not in 2023 or 2024 either - due to an extensive, three-year construction project to replace and expand sewer and water pipes beneath many of the streets in our neighborhood. The Turkey Trot is a beloved tradition in Tall Trees, and we know it is for so many of you as well. We are incredibly sad about this decision and assure you we did not make it lightly. We considered many alternatives to our traditional race, but with each one the logistical challenges and/or safety concerns were too great.
As you may know, we have donated proceeds from the race to Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook. Supporting Youth Services is very important to us all, so we want to let you know about a few upcoming and ongoing opportunities to provide support:
October 20th: Girlfriends’ Boutique and Bites – Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook (ysgn.org)
November 12th: Youth Services Concert – Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook (ysgn.org)

Thank you for making the Turkey Trot a part of your Thanksgiving tradition over the years. We hope we can resume this tradition in the future.
Sincerely,
The Tall Trees Turkey Trot Committee
