A Movement-based Apartment Theatre Performance
Talking Walls is a multidisciplinary artistic initiative centered around a movement-based apartment theatre performance and complementary events. The project addresses the trauma of loss, infertility and its effects on relationships and the self, bringing these often-hidden struggles into the public discourse. A core focus of the initiative is the experience of corporal abandonment, biological determination, and physical vulnerability, utilizing movement as the primary tool to process and release somatic trauma.
In Romania, 17.1% of the fertile population is affected by infertility. Despite its prevalence, it remains a heavily stigmatized taboo, with affected couples facing a divorce risk three times higher than average.
Break the social silence surrounding infertility through art.
Bridge the gap between isolated suffering and collective understanding.
Empower individuals to rebuild their corporal self-esteem and find reconciliation with their physical identity
Through our collaboration with UNDA 62, we have the opportunity to bring this production to life within their apartment-like space. This inclusive community space has become the stage for both our workshops and acts as the venue for our performances.
