Prof. Alexandre do N. Oliveira Sousa
Holds a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Brasília (2015), a master's degree (2017), and a double PhD (2021) from ICMC/USP and Universidad de Sevilla. Completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UNICAMP in 2022 with support from FAPESP. Currently, he is a professor in the Department of Mathematics at UFSC. His research focuses on Analysis, particularly on evolution equations, infinite-dimensional dynamical systems, and stochastic equations.

Prof. Paulo Mendes de Carvalho Neto
Holds a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from UNESP (2006), a master's degree (2009), and a double PhD (2013) from ICMC-USP and Universidad de Sevilla. Worked as a researcher and postdoctoral fellow at UNICAMP (from 2013 to 2015). He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at UFSC, working in Differential Equations, Fractional Calculus, and Functional Analysis. His research focuses on fractional differential and integral equations, Navier-Stokes equations, ODEs in infinite-dimensional spaces, and operator theory.

Department of Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics at UFSC offers undergraduate programs (Bachelor’s and Teacher Education) and graduate programs, including PROFMAT. It plays an active role in teaching, research, and outreach, with projects such as the Mathematical Circle e o UFSCience. The department promotes academic events, colloquia, and seminars in various areas of mathematics, and provides comprehensive facilities to support students, faculty, and scientific activities.
Graduate Program in Mathematics
The Graduate Program in Mathematics (PPGMTM) at UFSC offers Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Mathematics, with research areas in Algebra, Analysis, Geometry/Topology, and Applied Mathematics. Dedicated to the education of future researchers and professors, the program holds a CAPES rating of 5 and provides scholarships. Its structure comprises coursework, colloquia, teaching internships, and the development of a dissertation or thesis. The program regularly organizes scientific events and maintains a strong record of academic production.

The aim of this event is to bring together researchers in the fields of Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations, as well as Dynamical Systems. Professors and students will have the opportunity to present their research and learn about the work of their peers.
