The Services Frameworks are high level documents detailing possible services CSIRTs and PSIRTs may provide. They are developed by recognized experts from the FIRST community. FIRST strives to include feedback from all sectors, including CSIRTs with a national responsibility, private sector CSIRTs and PSIRTS as well as other stakeholders. These documents where intended to provide a foundation for the development of new training material. However today they are used in a much wider scope, e.g. when defining an initial service catalogue for new teams. These documents will be made available in English, Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish.

In the creation of the CSIRT framework it became clear, that PSIRTs do provide quite different services and typically operate in quite different environments. It was thus decided to create a separate document covering PSIRTs. The two documents will be aligned highlighting the many similarities shared.

June 21st 2018 - The Forum of Incident Security Response Teams, Inc. (FIRST) is pleased to release the final Product Security Incident Response Teams (PSIRT) Services Framework (PDF) and accompanying training video course. This framework and training video course were developed by a global team of PSIRT practitioners from FIRST members and relevant subject matter experts.

The leading association of incident response and security teams released a draft of the Product Security Incident Response Teams (PSIRT) Services Framework for public input. This is a formal list of services a PSIRT may consider implementing to address the needs of their constituency. Public input is welcomed until August 31, 2017 via psirt-comments@first.org.

May 19th, 2017 - The Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams, Inc. (FIRST) today publishes an update to its CSIRT Services Framework. This is an important milestone on the way to a complete and consistent description of services provided CSIRTs. The new CSIRT Services Framework Version 1.1 (PDF) enhances the original version published last year.

Accurate and complete medical data are one valuable asset for patients. Privacy protection and the secure storage of medical data are crucial issues during medical services. Secure storage and making full use of personal medical records has always been a concern for the general population. The emergence of blockchain technology brings a new idea to solve this problem. As a hash chain with the characteristics of decentralization, verifiability and immutability, blockchain technology can be used to securely store personal medical data. In this paper, we design a storage scheme to manage personal medical data based on blockchain and cloud storage. Furthermore, a service framework for sharing medical records is described. In addition, the characteristics of the medical blockchain are presented and analyzed through a comparison with traditional systems. The proposed storage and sharing scheme does not depend on any third-party and no single party has absolute power to affect the processing.

On my Samsung phone in the apps under system apps is MDE service framework. This service I cannot force stop when using the stop option and the permissions for location and storage cannot be changed. What is this used for has anyone used this service?

My c# console app calls a managed c++ dll. The dll is added as a reference to the c# project. If I try to start in debug mode it says error while trying to run project. unable to start program, unrecognized error in windows web service framework. It is not a web application. If I run without debugging, the console pops up and my dll produces an error that the hdf5 header files don't match the hdf5 library my c++ dll is linked to (though it compiles and builds just fine). Both c# driver and c++ dll are 64 bit on a 64 bit machine. Both the F5 and ctrl F5 errors are puzzling. Hope someone has info on this.thanks,sb

I've being searching online about it for quite a while, but all I got is the information about web services, APIs, web services protocols..... Can someone plz tell what a web service is and what it can do in plain English?

As a webservice developer, a framework is like a tons of features already developed/thought-out that you can use in your own way to deliver your webservice faster. Examples of features handled by frameworks: client-server messaging, authentication and sessions management, files operations, etc.

Microsoft Windows Text Services Framework (TSF) is a system service available as a redistributable for Windows. TSF provides a simple and scalable framework for the delivery of advanced text input and natural language technologies. TSF can be enabled in applications, or as a TSF text service. A TSF text service provides multilingual support and delivers text services such as keyboard processors, handwriting recognition, and speech recognition.

Text Services Framework is designed for use by Component Object Model (COM) programmers using the C/C++ programming languages. Programmers should be familiar with text services for Windows-based computers. Knowledge of handwriting recognition, speech recognition, and programming for multilingual support is recommended.

For the purposes of the Text Services Framework Help, the term "application" refers to a TSF-enabled application, the term "text service" refers to a TSF text service, and the term "manager" refers to the TSF manager. Each term applies as stated herein unless otherwise specified. Text service providers should provide digital signatures with their binary executables.

I'd suggest a JAX-WS implementation: JAX-WS RI (which is part of Metro) or Apache CXF. Both are very close from a runtime perspective but many people find that CXF has a better documentation (might be an important criteria). Both provide integration with Spring if this matters to you (actually, decent frameworks just can't ignore Spring so this is not a surprise).

In any case, I'd stay away from Axis 2 and its horrible deployment architecture and packaging hell (the Axis 2 webapp itself is a container for web services which need to be packaged in specific archives). I find it totally counter productive. On top of that, it doesn't even perform really well.

As service providers are moving to the cloud, users are forced to provision sensitive data to the cloud. Confidential computing leverages hardware Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) to protect data in use, no longer requiring users' trust to the cloud. The emerging service model, Confidential Computing as a Service (CCaaS), is adopted by service providers to offer service similar to the Function-as-a-Serivce manner. However, privacy concerns are raised in CCaaS, especially in multi-user scenarios. CCaaS need to assure the data providers that the service does not leak their privacy to any unauthorized parties and clear their data after the service. To address such privacy concerns with security guarantees, we first formally define the security objective, Proof of Being Forgotten (PoBF), and prove under which security constraints PoBF can be satisfied. Then, these constraints serve as guidelines in the implementation of the PoBF-compliant Framework (PoCF). PoCF consists of a generic library for different hardware TEEs, CCaaS prototype enclaves, and a verifier to prove PoBF-compliance. PoCF leverages Rust's robust type system and security features, to construct a verified state machine with privacy-preserving contracts. Last, the experiment results show that the protections introduced by PoCF incur minor runtime performance overhead.

Providing access to pediatric healthcare services in British Columbia, Canada, presents unique challenges given low population densities spread across large geographic distances combined with a lack of availability of specialist providers in remote areas, leading to quality of care shortcomings and inequalities in care delivery. The study objective was to develop a framework that provides a common language and methodology for defining and planning child and youth healthcare services across the province.

The framework was developed in two phases. In Phase 1, a literature and jurisdictional review was completed using the following inclusion criteria: (i) description of a framework focusing on organizing service delivery systems (ii) that supports health service planning, (iii) includes specialty or subspecialty services and (iv) has been published since 2008. In Phase 2, a series of meetings with key provincial stakeholders were held to receive feedback on the developed Tiers of Service framework versions that were based on the literature and jurisdictional review and adjusted to the British Columbian health care context. The final version was endorsed by the Child Health BC Steering Committee.

The benefits of the Tiers of Service framework and accompanying modules for health service planning are being increasingly recognized. Planning and coordinating pediatric health services across the province will help to optimize flow and improve access to high-quality services for children living in British Columbia.

During the Child Health BC Forum 2008, which brought together representatives from key service sectors and government, the need for developing a unifying framework for child and youth health was identified [8]. This framework would assist in the planning and coordination of services provincially, within and across health authorities and multiple sectors and service providers in British Columbia. It would aim to support provincial collaboration and provide a consistent approach to service planning and delivery across the province [8]. ff782bc1db
