This storybook is a compilation of the Vietnamese tales of the Four Immortals.
The four immortals of Vietnam are ancient gods that are worshipped in Vietnamese temples. They are:
Son Tinh Mountain God (Pronounced: Sun Tin)
Saint Giong (Pronounced: Yōng, the ō is pronounced as a long "o" that is in the word wrong)
Chu Dong Tu (Pronounced: Chû Dōng Tû, the û is pronounced like the double "oo" in look)
Princess Lieu Hanh (Pronounced: Lew Han, the "ew" in Lew is pronounced like you're saying ew but with an L in front, the "a" in Han is the same "a" that's pronounced in apple.)
Each tale of these gods is very well known by the Vietnamese people. Children learn about them at a young age. I focus on retelling these stories in my own words while also adding some details of my own. I hope you enjoy reading the stories!
