Everyday Math-EDM
Everyday Math is research based math aligned with the Common Core Standards. It is made up of 8 different Units.
The students focus on the following three areas:
Understanding and Fluency with multi-digit multiplication and division.
Understanding fraction equivalence, addition and subtraction with like denominators, and multiplication of fractions by whole numbers.
Understanding that geometric figures can be analyzed and classified based on their properties. The students will complete lessons daily, working in whole group, small group, partner and independent settings to gain a deeper level of understanding of the taught concepts. Student will have a math journal that will allow them to apply and practice concepts that are taught. Each student has access to EDM Online which will allow them to access games, the student reference book and videos. The student reference book will serve as a guide to review math concepts and skills.
Students can access their EDM online accounts through the Clever bookmark.
Freckle and Splash Learn
Students all have to various math games online that will give each student on level practice. These programs are accessed via the students Clever Login. Students will be utilizing these sites in school during our guided math block. Students are able to ultize these platforms as home as well for extra practice if they would like!
