Welcome to Takuya Nemoto's web page. I am a mathematician working in algebraic geometry, currently a non-tenure-track assistant professor at Waseda University. My name in Japanese is 根本卓弥.

Biography

I am an assistant professor (without tenure) 講師(任期付) at Waseda University. I received my PhD in 2024 from Waseda University under the supervision of Hajime Kaji. Before that, I worked as a freelance mathematics tutor at Sugakubunka. I will be on the job market in Spring 2027.

Research Interest

I work in algebraic geometry, focusing on vector bundles on projective varieties. My research centers on the classification of globally generated, ACM, and Ulrich bundles on Fano varieties, especially on surfaces and threefolds with Picard number at least two. Using the Hartshorne-Serre correspondence, I study the relationship between vector bundles and subvarieties, reducing classification problems to the study of low-dimensional objects, such as curves.

Teaching

Starting April 2026, I will teach undergraduate courses in linear algebra and introductory mathematics at Waseda University. I have been teaching these subjects at the undergraduate level since 2024.
