I am Takuya Katagiri(片桐 拓弥), a theoretical astrophysicist at Gravity theory and gravitational wave phenomenology group, Sapienza University of Rome
My research interests: Gravitational physics, Relativistic Astrophysics
My research aims to advance our understanding of fundamental physics in the Universe by building robust and consistent theoretical frameworks for gravity, spacetime, and their interactions with matter, and by translating these insights into testable signatures in gravitational-wave observations. I primarily focus on modelling gravitational-wave sources and waveforms, predicting their observational imprints, and identifying the underlying physical and mathematical mechanisms — both within fully general-relativistic descriptions and in extensions — using complementary (semi-)analytic and numerical techniques.
