Papermaker, The Papermill — June 2022 to present.
I am 60 years old and I live in Whangārei. My favourite colour is burgundy, I love seafood and dogs, and I enjoy rhythm and blues music. My favourite movie is Titanic, and I enjoy sewing and singing. I have a great sarcastic sense of humour, and my friends describe me as loyal and helpful. I am happiest when I am with the people I love, and slapstick comedy always makes me laugh.
My family is extremely important to me, and I want people to know that despite appearances, I genuinely care about the people around me. If I could have one superpower, I would choose the ability to fly. I am proud to be myself. The
people, activities and interests in my life help make me who I am. I enjoy sharing what I love with others and spending time with people who understand me. I have my own strengths, my own sense of humour and my own way of seeing the world.
I keep learning about myself through work, friendship and everyday experiences. I want people to notice my abilities, listen to what matters to me and enjoy getting to know the real me. I am a master of words. I narrate our performances and give heartfelt speeches.
