If you want deep bass neckband headphones for sleeping with an open-ear design that keeps your ears clear of ambient noise, choose TAKSTAR LA350W; if you need best voice assistant gaming headphones for sleeping with active noise cancellation and ultra-low latency, choose BSWLMDD 5.3. This is not a close call between two identical options; they are built for fundamentally different listening experiences, especially when the goal is rest or immersive focus. The TAKSTAR model prioritizes comfort and situational awareness through its unique open-air architecture, while the BSWLMDD unit leans heavily into isolation and performance metrics designed for media consumption.
• TAKSTAR LA350W: Its biggest strength is the open-ear ergonomic design that prevents ear fatigue during extended wear, but it lacks active noise cancellation, meaning you will hear your surroundings. It is for the person who needs to stay aware of their environment while listening to audio all night.
• BSWLMDD 5.3: Its biggest strength is the IPX5 waterproof rating combined with active noise cancellation and ultra-low latency, but the in-ear fit might feel intrusive for some light sleepers. It is for the user seeking deep immersion and protection against sweat or rain during intense activity.
The TAKSTAR LA350W is engineered around a philosophy of "unobstructed listening." If you have ever struggled with the pressure of traditional in-ear buds after a few hours, this open-ear design solves that problem immediately. The ergonomically designed earhooks are crafted to be comfortable enough for extended use without causing hearing damage, thanks to the specific placement of the sound away from the eardrum canal. At just 8.5 grams, these are among the lightest options on the market, a critical factor when you are lying on your side and need something that won't dig into your pillow or shift position as you toss and turn.
This product is ideal for someone looking for deep bass neckband headphones for sleeping who also values safety and awareness. The open-air design means you can listen to podcasts, audiobooks, or white noise while still hearing a doorbell, a baby crying, or morning traffic. The 13mm dynamic driver paired with Bluetooth 5.4 technology delivers a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz, ensuring the sound is pure and exceptional without the claustrophobic feeling of sealed ear tips. The total playtime of 50 hours is staggering; with the charging case, you could go weeks without plugging anything in, which removes the anxiety of battery life entirely.

However, you should skip this product if you require silence. Because there is no active noise cancellation, you cannot block out a snoring partner, a loud fan, or street noise. The ENC microphone is excellent for calls, but the audio itself does not isolate. If your primary use case involves trying to drown out a noisy world to fall asleep, the open design might let too much distraction in. It is a device for those who want music without isolation, perfect for the light sleeper who finds traditional buds uncomfortable but still wants a steady stream of audio to drift off to.
The BSWLMDD 5.3 takes a completely different approach, focusing on immersion and technical performance. These are true in-ear headphones designed to seal the ear canal, providing what the data sheet describes as advanced noise reduction technology that blocks out ambient sounds. This makes them the superior choice for anyone who needs to create a quiet bubble in a chaotic environment. Whether you are commuting, working in a busy office, or trying to sleep next to a loud household, the active noise cancellation feature works to silence the background chatter so you can focus entirely on the audio content.
For gamers or media enthusiasts, the standout feature here is the ultra-low latency. With Bluetooth 5.3 technology, these earbuds achieve a latency of just 0.06 seconds (60ms), with transmission fidelity improved by 50% compared to older standards. This synchronization is crucial for watching videos or playing games where lip-sync matters; you won't experience that annoying lag where the audio trails behind the visual action. The 13.4mm dynamic drivers push a sensitivity of 98 dB, delivering powerful sound that fills the ear canal completely. The smart touch controls allow you to manage volume, tracks, and calls without reaching for your phone, adding a layer of convenience that complements the high-tech specs.
Durability is another major selling point for the BSWLMDD 5.3. With an IPX5 waterproof rating, these earbuds offer deep protection against sweat and rain, making them robust enough for rigorous gym sessions or outdoor runs. The ergonomic elevation design features a 3D arc polishing that ensures a stable fit, even during high-energy movement. While the 48-hour total playtime is impressive, the individual charge time is slightly longer at 2 hours compared to the TAKSTAR. This product is for the power user who demands reliability, isolation, and speed, and who prefers the secure, in-ear fit over the open-ear alternative.
• Best for battery longevity → TAKSTAR LA350W: With a total of 50 hours of playtime and a quick 1.5-hour charge cycle, this model edges out the competition for marathon listening sessions.
• Best for active noise cancellation → BSWLMDD 5.3: If you need to block out the world, the BSWLMDD's active noise control is the only real option between the two.
• Best for open-ear comfort → TAKSTAR LA350W: The 8.5g weight and hook design make it the winner for side-sleepers who hate the pressure of in-ear plugs.
• Best for gaming and video sync → BSWLMDD 5.3: The 0.06s latency ensures perfect audio-video alignment, which the open-ear TAKSTAR cannot match in terms of isolation-based synchronization.
• Best for heavy sweating or rain → BSWLMDD 5.3: An IPX5 rating provides better water resistance than the TAKSTAR's IPX4, offering peace of mind in wet conditions.
• Best for situational awareness → TAKSTAR LA350W: You can hear your surroundings clearly, which is essential for safety during night walks or monitoring a home environment.
• Best value for tech specs → BSWLMDD 5.3: You get Bluetooth 5.3, touch controls, and active noise cancellation in one package for a very competitive feature set.
• Best for long-term wear without fatigue → TAKSTAR LA350W: The lack of in-ear insertion means zero ear canal pressure, making it ideal for all-night use.
I would buy the TAKSTAR LA350W specifically because my primary use case is for sleeping. I find that the open-ear design allows me to listen to white noise or audiobooks for eight hours straight without any discomfort or pressure buildup. The ability to keep my ears open feels safer and more natural when I am drifting off, and the massive 50-hour battery life means I never worry about charging it before bed. However, if your priority is blocking out a noisy room or playing mobile games with zero lag, the BSWLMDD 5.3 is the stronger contender due to its active noise cancellation and lower latency. Ultimately, for the specific goal of restful sleep, the comfort and awareness provided by the TAKSTAR make it the clear winner in my opinion.
Yes, the TAKSTAR LA350W is designed for this exact purpose. Its open-ear design with 13mm drivers offers a full frequency range including bass, while the lightweight build ensures you can sleep on your side without pain.
Both models charge relatively quickly, with the TAKSTAR taking approximately 1.5 hours and the BSWLMDD taking 2 hours. Neither uses proprietary fast-charging cables, but both provide USB charging for convenience.
The BSWLMDD 5.3 is the superior choice for isolation. Its active noise cancellation and in-ear design physically block external sounds, whereas the TAKSTAR LA350W lets ambient noise in by design.
Both are built for sports, but the BSWLMDD 5.3 offers a slight edge with its IPX5 rating and secure in-ear arc design, while the TAKSTAR relies on flexible earhooks that stay put during running.
