Take Note a Cappella is DePaul University’s premiere a cappella group for treble voices. Since 2004, Take Note (originally Depaul Women's a Cappella) has been empowering young people through community, kindness, love, and the cultivation of musical passion. We hope to bring a little more joy into the world with every performance and give the gift of music to folks all across Chicago!

As a student-run a cappella group, we have many values that make our group stronger and more vibrant in several key ways. Inclusivity and diversity is highly valued as we provide a strong support system, with members who are always ready to help and encourage one another while we also actively seek out different perspectives and experiences.
Music growth is our main focus which significantly enhances our collective and individual abilities. In doing so, we provide continuous opportunities for members to refine their vocal skills, explore new techniques, and develop a deeper understanding of music theory.
We value creativity and fun as we explore new musical arrangements, experimenting with unique vocal techniques, and crafting original pieces, all while maintaining an environment that encourages imaginative expression.
