Takayoshi Nakano

Takayoshi Nakano has been a full professor at Osaka University since 2008 and a distinguished professor since 2017. He received his Ph.D. degree from Osaka University in 1996. He has been the director at Anisotropic Design & Additive Manufacturing Research Center, Osaka University since 2020, the president of Japanese Institute of Additive Manufacturing since 2022 and a member of the Science Council of Japan since 2023. In addition, he is a fellow of International Union of Societies for Biomaterials Science & Engineering. He was the president of Japanese Society for Bone Morphometry in 2017 and the Japan Institute of Metals and Materials in 2021 and 2022. He aims to establish a new academic field, “Materials Science based on Anisotropy”.
