ABOUT ME
"Physics × Information × Biology"
TAKASHI MORIKURA received the B.E. degree in mechanical engineering, the M.E. degree in integrated design engineering, and the Ph.D. degree in integrated design engineering from Keio University, Japan, in 2017, 2019, and 2022, respectively. From 2022 to 2023, he was a Research Associate with Waseda University, Japan. Since 2023, he then joined the Ikawa CREST BioDX Project, JST and Ozeki CREST Innovative Measurement Project, JST as Project Assistant Professor at Funahashi Lab. in Keio University, Japan. His research interests include quantitative biology, deep learning, label-free imaging, bioengineering, mechanobiology, and bioimage analysis.

INTERESTS
I am interested in multi-body dynamics underlying emergent phenomena, such as biological phenomena and the emergence of intelligence, from the perspective of information physics.
What are the fundamental laws that govern multi-body interactions leading to such a wide variety of emergent behaviors?
Furthermore, is it possible to design novel functional materials by controlling these multi-body phenomena?
