Associate Professor

Short bio: Dr. Takaku earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Waseda University, conducting research on DNA repair under the supervision of Dr. Hitoshi Kurumizaka. Following this, he completed postdoctoral training in the laboratory of Dr. Paul Wade at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS/NIH), where he focused on gene regulation in breast cancer. He established his laboratory in 2019. His research primarily focuses on the roles of chromatin and its regulators in breast cancer, utilizing advanced genomics and machine learning techniques.
