I am a Lecturer of Economics at Roanoke College. My research spans applied microeconomics, development economics, and agricultural economics, with complementary work in environmental and health economics. I use microdata and causal inference to study markets, policy, and household behavior.
I earned my Ph.D. in Economics from Oklahoma State University in 2023. My dissertation, Essays in Applied Microeconomics and Development Economics, examined alcohol prohibition and gender-based violence, the health effects of agricultural fires, and how income and prices shape dietary choices in India. Before graduate school, I worked at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and the National Institute of Agricultural Economics and Policy Research (NIAP) in New Delhi.Â
My recent publications include work in Energy Economics, Food Policy, International Journal of Epidemiology, Canadian Journal of Agricultural Economics, and Journal of Biosocial Science.
At Roanoke College, I teach microeconomics, macroeconomics, health economics, econometrics/business analytics, environmental economics, and Managerial Economics for the MBA program.
