Hello, and welcome to my website!

I am a Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics within the Department of Business Admin. & Economics at Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia. I have completed a Ph.D. in Economics from Oklahoma State University (OSU) as part of my educational journey. I specialize as an applied microeconomist, and my research revolves around development economics, specifically focusing on agriculture, food, environment, and health. 

My academic journey also comprises a Master's degree in Applied Economics obtained from the Madras School of Economics (MSE) in India, an MBA in International Business from Pondicherry University, India, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics (with honors), with a strong foundation in mathematics and statistics, earned at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in India.

Before starting my Ph.D. studies, I gained valuable professional experience during nearly six years of employment in New Delhi, India. I worked at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and the National Institute of Agricultural Economics and Policy Research (NIAP), where I contributed to various research initiatives and projects.
