Niamat Ullah Akhund is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Information and Communication Laboratory of Toyota Technological Institute, Nagoya, Japan. He completed his Ph.D. at Saga University, Japan, under the prestigious MEXT Scholarship (Japanese Government Scholarship). He has also been a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Daffodil International University, Bangladesh, from January 2019 to December 2021. Tajim earned the ICT Fellowship from the Government of Bangladesh in 2019. He completed his M.Sc. in 2019 and B.Sc. in 2018 in Information Technology from Jahangirnagar University, one of the top public universities in Bangladesh. He has been an IEEE member for the past eight years. His research interests include IoT, human-computer interaction (HCI), human activity recognition, sensors, and embedded systems. He has contributed to numerous projects and published extensively in these fields, with several of his articles appearing in highly reputed Q1 journals. He has also served as a reviewer for several esteemed journals and conferences, including those published by Elsevier, Springer Nature, and MDPI, contributing to the peer-review process in these leading academic platforms. He previously served as a Teaching Assistant (TA) and Research Assistant (RA) at the Institute of Information Technology (IIT), Jahangirnagar University, for three years. In 2018, he led the IEEE Student Branch of Jahangirnagar University as its chairperson and was the vice president of the Jahangirnagar University Science Club. He is skilled in microcontroller programming, web development, and the development of embedded systems projects. The Red-Green Research Society awarded him Best Science Speaker, and he has received multiple awards for his talents in recitation, presenting, and anchoring.
