Principle Investigator
Taiyi Wang is an Assistant Professor at the Jackson School of Geosiences. He is broadly interested in mechanics problems in the Earth that involve elasticity, fracture mechanics, friction, and fluids. He received his PhD in Geophysics at Stanford University in 2024 and was an O. K. Earl Postdoc Fellow at the Seismological Laboratory at Caltech between 2024 and 2026.
Postdoctoral Researcher
Jack is interested in the application of various seismological methods for understanding the dynamics of volcanoes. Jack obtained his PhD at Caltech Seismolab in 2026. He holds a B.A. in Geophysics from Columbia University.
PhD student
Zhenghao is interested in problems related to the interactions between earthquake faults and fluids. Zhenghao holds a M.S. in Geophysics from Tongji University (2026) and a dual B.S. in Engineering from China University of Geosciences and Environmental Science from the University of Waterloo.
