Thank you for visiting my web page.
I am Taiwon Ha, a tenure-track assistant professor in Department of Public Administration at Pusan National University in South Korea.
Before joining academia, I served for approximately 20 years in the Korean government, working at the Ministry of Economy and Finance and Statistics Korea, where I gained extensive experience in major policy areas including public finance, statistics, economic policy, and social welfare.
My current research focuses on key policy issues facing Korean society, including household income, public finance, regional economies, artificial intelligence, social welfare, and old-age income security. In particular, I move beyond estimating average policy effects and examine the heterogeneity of causal impacts across different groups and regions through rigorous empirical analysis.
I am committed to producing evidence-based policy research that combines academic rigor with practical relevance and can be directly utilized in policy practice.
