Last semetser, I signed up for BC's Language Aquisition and Teaching.
At the end of the term, my group members and I completed a research with the topic Language Use in Positive Videos.
We used several new-learned tools in it, I will explain more in the section below.
We focused on six encouraging videos (positive vibe video), and we wanted to find out positives words in them and their relationship with the audience's reaction in the comment areas.
We used Complete Lexical Tutor (Lextutor) and MAXQDA to fetch and organize our data.
It was a fresh experience for me since I had never worked on data-based research before that.
In the class, it was also my first time getting to know so many theories. Though it was a bit stressful, I still learnt a lot.
I can always remember the first post updated by BC in the class group.
