1. Agreement
Creating a Tailgate account means you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, the app isn't for you — no hard feelings.
2. Who can use Tailgate
You need to be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's okay before signing up.
3. No real money, ever
Football IQ, streaks, levels, and confidence points are just in-app scoring. They can't be bought, cashed out, wagered, or converted to anything of monetary value. Tailgate is a prediction and bragging-rights game, not gambling.
4. Your account
Keep your login to yourself and pick a real password — you're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at tailgatesportsapp@gmail.com if you think someone else has gotten in.
5. What you post
Polls, picks, comments, hot takes, and group messages are yours — you own what you write. Posting it gives Tailgate permission to display it to other users as part of running the app, which is the whole point of a social prediction game.
Don't post content that:
Harasses, threatens, or targets another person
Is hateful, discriminatory, or sexually explicit
Impersonates someone else or is deliberately misleading
Spams, scams, or advertises something unrelated to college football
Breaks the law
Report anything that crosses a line to tailgatesportsapp@gmail.com — include a link or screenshot if you can. We review reports and can remove content or suspend an account that violates these terms.
6. Team names & trademarks
Tailgate is an independent fan project. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NCAA, any conference, or any school. Team names and logos shown in the app belong to their respective schools and are used only to identify who a poll or pick is about.
7. Ending your account
You can delete your own account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. We can suspend or remove an account that violates these terms, seriously disrupts the app for other users, or is required by law to be removed.
8. No warranty
Tailgate is provided as-is. Game data, spreads, and rankings come from third-party sources and can be wrong or delayed — don't treat anything in the app as a guarantee about a real game's outcome.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Tailgate and its developer aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from using the app. Since nothing in Tailgate carries monetary value, there's nothing financial at stake to begin with.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app changes. We'll update the effective date above when we do — continuing to use Tailgate after that means you accept the update.
