Kuma Lab is a student-based community exploring the field of machine intelligence. The main purpose of this community is to engage and promote research and engineering. Our activities include the following:
Workshops
Events
Paper reading sessions
Blogs
Please consider checking out our homepage for details about the community!
We occasionally host workshops both remotely and in-person. One in-person workshop we hosted was regarding the topic of "Robotic Art" where robotics and AI can be leveraged to create unique, collaborative artworks. Remote workshops we have held in the past include: "Introduction to Reinforcement Learning", "Introduction to Diffusion", and "Train Your Own GPT" . These workshops are hosted to introduce and promote students to interesting research fields.
Here are the slides from the workshop "Introduction to Reinforcement Learning" that I personally hosted:
We engage our members to write blogs regarding any topic they are interested in. These blogs help internalize, share, and initiate discussions regarding various topics like imitation learning, reinforcement learning, diffusion models, and even sensor systems. Any member from the community is welcome to post blogs on our website, and here's a sneak peak of what's on the website:
We are currently planning to host a student-based conference where the hurdles for submission are lower than traditional research conferences. Through this conference, we hope to help young students gain experience and build interest in research. To make the conference as engaging and accessible as possible for the participants, we are gathering thoughts and feedback through a survey. Please feel free to fill out the form:
