Dr. Tahsina Farah Sanam is a Professor in the Institute of Appropriate Technology at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. Her principal research interests lie in the development of machine learning and statistical methodology, and computational system; especially for solving problems involving automated learning, reasoning, and decision-making in high-dimensional, multimodal, and dynamic possible worlds in artificial, healthcare, and social systems. Professor Sanam received a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rutgers University, and M.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. She serves as a guest editor of Frontiers in AI on special topics Fuzzy System Applications in Robotics and Automation. She is a member of IEEE, Society of Women Engineering (SWE-USA), and ACM.

Sayma Alam Suha is currently pursuing the M.Sc. degree in Management of Technology at Institute of Appropriate Technology (IAT), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). She is a recipient of Postgraduate Fellowship from BUET. She received her B.Sc. degree from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) and honored with ‘MIST Medal 2017’ for acquiring first position in the Dept. of CSE, MIST. Formerly, she was a Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST). Her research interests include, but not limited to, health informatics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data science, image processing, big data analytics and human-computer interaction (HCI). She is also a student member of IEEE.

Ishrat Jahan is currently pursuing an M.Sc. degree in Management of Technology at the Institute of Appropriate Technology (IAT), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). She received her B.Sc. degree from the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Communication Engineering (EECE), Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), and was honored with ‘Commandant list’ for the last three years for getting CGPA above 3.8 on the scale of 4 in the Dept. of EECE, MIST. Her research interests include, but are not limited to, eCommerce informatics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data science, image processing, big data analytics. She is also a student member of IEEE.

Debashis Kar Suvra is currently pursuing the M.Sc. degree in Management of Technology at Institute of Appropriate Technology (IAT), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He completed his BSc in CSE from Brac University. Besides his M.Sc., Debashis is working as a Software Engineer in Hivecore Limited. His research interests lie in Machine Learning, Deep learning and AI applications Traffic Management systems.

Irin Laila Parvin is currently pursuing her M.Sc. Degree in Management of Technology at the institute of Appropriate Technology (IAT), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). She received her B.Sc. Degree from Khulna University in Electronics and Communication Engineering Discipline (ECE). Her previous research work was “De-noising ECG Signal Based on Wavelet Packet Transform and Comparison with Other Techniques”. She was an active member of “ROUTER”-a Science, Technology and Engineering Club of ECE Discipline, Khulna University. To learn the new technology advancements and their appropriate applications are the ultimate interest of her research. Currently she is focused on the Smart Building, Smart City Management using New Technologies based on IR 4.0 Revolution. To cope up with the recent worldwide energy crisis situation, her goal is to contribute to the Management of Energy Consumption introducing Smart Building concept in Bangladesh.

Momtahin is currently attending her M.Sc. in Management of Technology at the Institute of Appropriate Technology (IAT), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). She did her B.Sc. in Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from University of Chittagong (CU). She’s a technology management enthusiast and her interests lie within the domain of learning new technological advances and their appropriate applications. She has been studying the concepts of technology transfer, forecast and diffusion techniques. And also relevant technology policies, their risk management and the adoption of new technologies with respect to the IR 4.0 revolution foregoing in the industry. For now she is focused on how to manage Big Data over Internet of Technology (IoT) and evaluate Blockchain as a means for security of EMR (electronic medical records) in healthcare technology management. Her goal is to contribute to the implementation of smart primary healthcare management in Bangladesh.

Sadik Ahmed is currently pursuing an M.Sc. Degree in Management of Technology at the Institute of Appropriate Technology (IAT), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology(BUET). He received his B.Sc. degree from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE). His research interest lies in Artificial Intelligence, BlockChain, Big Data Analytics, Internet of Things (IoT), and their applications in E-waste Management, policy, and control. His primary focus is to mitigate the toxic effects of e-waste in smart cities via the implementation of modern technology practices, simulation models, feasibility, and risk analysis.

Brazab Nayak is currently pursuing the M.Sc. degree in Management of Technology at Institute of Appropriate Technology (IAT), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He received his B.Sc. degree from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST). His major research interests include Cyber Security, Machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data science, Image Processing and Healthcare. He Conducted (as a Main Trainer) the Course-Arduino Programming, Microcontroller and Robotics Course 2015 in MIST Robotics Club. He is also an Associate Member of Bangladesh Computer Society. He also awarded Best Project Award – 2nd Position, ICEEICT- 2nd International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information & Communication Technology, 2015.He achieved 2nd Runners-up Power & Energy Hackathon 2017- Organized by Ministry of Power, Energy & Mineral Resources (MPEMR), Bangladesh and 6th position of Hult-prize Competition. He participated in several competitions like Mathematical Olympiad, ICT Hackathon, International Humanitarian Technology Project Competition (IHTPC 2017) and so on.
