Hnefatafl – The Viking Game (“the App”) is developed by Chris Kazantzoglou (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.

We do not operate our own user-account system, and we do not use advertising, analytics, or tracking technologies.
Saved games, gameplay progress, language preferences, appearance settings, difficulty settings, and music-provider preferences are stored locally on your device.

The App uses Apple Game Center to provide authentication and online multiplayer functionality.
When you use online features, the App may access information supplied by Game Center, including:
Your Game Center player identifier
Your Game Center display name
Match participants
Match status and turn information
Gameplay and match data required to conduct online games
This information is used exclusively to provide online multiplayer functionality. Game Center information is processed and stored by Apple according to Apple’s privacy policies.

The App allows you to select Apple Music or Spotify as your preferred music service and open the relevant application.
The App does not access or collect:
Any interaction with Apple Music or Spotify is governed by the privacy policy of the respective service.

Local game data remains on your device until:
Game Center match data is retained and managed by Apple according to Apple’s own policies.
You may delete locally saved games from within the App.
Deleting the App removes its locally stored settings and saved-game data from the device.
Game Center information and match history can be managed through your Apple ID and Game Center settings.
The App does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
Online features are provided through Apple Game Center and are subject to the parental controls, age restrictions, and privacy protections provided by Apple.
We use Apple-provided technologies and platform security features to protect gameplay information.
However, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Game Center, Apple Music, and Spotify may process information in countries outside your country of residence according to their respective privacy policies.
We do not independently transfer personal information between countries.
Depending on your location, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the right to request access, correction, restriction, or deletion.
Because we do not maintain an independent user database, most account-related information must be managed through Apple Game Center, Apple Music, Spotify, or the applicable service provider.
