Tae-Sub Yun
PhD researcher at KAIST
Who I am
I am a Ph.D. researcher who just received my doctoral degree in the field of Industrial Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). Currently, I am looking for a new position to continue my research career.
I am interested in replicating the socio-economic situation as an agent-based model and acquiring policy implications from the model. I am able to cover the entire process of socio-economic research using an agent-based modeling (ABM) framework.
Used to working with data.
I am used to working with time-series data such as macroeconomic indicators and stock prices. I also have experience with micro-level data such as census and time-use surveys.
Specialize in model design and validation.
I specialize in model validation through parameter calibration. Furthermore, I believe that model design based on domain knowledge contributes to validity.
Acquainted with statistical analysis.
I am able to conduct various statistical analyses to derive policy implications from simulation results. I mainly verify the significance and direction of policy effects by regression analysis.
I have experience in modeling and policy analysis research for several socio-economic situations, including financial markets, urban transport systems, and macroeconomic systems.
With these experiences, I am ready to challenge new socio-economic problems.
