[09/18] We received a Myron Zucker Student-Faculty Grant Award ($25,000, 09/2018-08/2019) from IEEE Foundation. The project is to develop a new IoT network and cybersecurity framework toward wireless battery management systems in cyber-physical environments.
[11/18] Mr. Nemail earned the first ranked award in the Engineering and Computer Science area at the 15th Annual Pathways Student Research Symposium (TAMU system-wide competition) held at West Texas A&M University, Nov. 1-2, 2018. He presented his current research work titled "Cyber-Physical Solar Inverter for photovoltaic (PV) Systems". Congrats. Nemali !
[09/18] Ms. Faika received the first ranked award in graduate poster competition in the 2018 Javelina Research Symposium at TAMUK. The poster is based her paper entitled "Cybersecurity for battery management systems in cyber-physical environments". Congratulations, Faika!
[03/18] It's my pleasure to announce that my graduate student (MS EE), Rajendra Pandey received an outstanding presentation award with $100 monetary reward in a renewable energy system session at 2018 IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference held in San Antonio on March 8, 2018. This conference is the world largest conference (>4,500 attendances) in power electronics and industry application societies. The title of the paper he presented is "An outlier mining-based real-time fault diagnosis for lithium-ion batteries using a low-priced microcontroller". This work was supported by Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute in South Korea.
[12/17] I am pleased to announce that we received a Microsoft Azure Research Award entitled "Development of cloud-based battery testing and research platform" ($20,000 for cloud usage, 12/2017-11/2018). Through the Azure cloud my team will explore cloud-based battery testing and research platform and cyber-physical power and energy system.
