I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Collaborative for Reproductive Equity (CORE) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health. I recently completed my PhD in Health Services Research at the University of Maryland Department of Health Policy and Management.
As an interdisciplinary health services researcher, I study the impacts of policy intervention on reproductive health access, including Medicaid abortion coverage and contraceptive access initiatives. Using large administrative and survey datasets, my research employs quantitative, quasi-experimental causal methods to conduct analyses. My work also encompasses abortion attitudes and social determinants of health. Ultimately, as a researcher, I aim to produce actionable evidence that promotes health equity. My work has appeared in Health Affairs, Health Services Research, Social Science & Medicine, and other outlets.
I hold an MS in Industrial Engineering from KAIST, where I worked on economic modeling of hospital competition and participated in various healthcare system optimization projects.
Outside of research, I am a monthly supporter of Stand-Up Against Sex-Trafficking of Minors and a fan of women's sports. In my free time, I enjoy cycling with my bike, Mx. Shoong-shoong-yi, and micro-gardening, where I care for a variety of small plants.
