RECHARGE and REUSE
Don't Waste an Opportunity to Reuse and Recycle! That's what batteries were made to do!
To create a better tomorrow by reusing old, spent batteries. Unlike fossil fuels, which burn once and only once, batteries can be recycled and used over and over again! Let's organize to get batteries out of the landfill and back to the cycle!
Not only are batteries important to recycle since the materials in them are a limited resource, it is safer to recycle them! Did you know batteries can be dangerous when collected in a drawer or box for long periods of time? We will help you recycle and do the leg work.
These batteries are the replaceable ones - often containing letters, such as AA, C, and D. We also refer to these as 'Primary batteries.' The components include manganese and zinc, which can be replenished and reused. Alkaline batteries also contain strong bases from which we should avoid exposure when a battery leaks.
These are batteries that can be used over and over again upon recharging. These are also referred to as 'secondary batteries.' The most popular rechargeable batteries today are lithium-ion batteries. The lithium can be used over and over again once a battery stops working.
