Talilah Bluethorn

Talilah is charismatic, knowing how to charm a crowd and when and how to say the right things, most of the time. She's typically good at reading a situation and putting on an act to match what's required. She has a passion for helping those with less, often finding authority and wealthy to be nothing more but a stain on society. She's not against raising a little hell when it's required and can get into mischief, but talk her way out of it just as fast. She aims to be optimistic for herself and doesn't like it when she has emotional downs.

She can be a bit petty, though, and vindictive. She's not against a little cruelty and mockery for those who deserve it. Despite her attempts at planning things out, she can act on impulse at times, which could make matters better or worse, depending on the scenario. She was a romantic at once time, but that went sour recently so she tends to be flirty but guarded, not really letting people close.

Early Life

Talilah's mother was a moon elf thief, who started an entertaining troupe to double as a thievery band to steal from the rich to give to the poor. Talilah's father was a sun elf nobleman, his mother one of the queen's advisors. The pair met from a misadventure in Evereska and fell in love. They began a decades long courtship, as high elves do. But when Talilah's mother tried to send word of her pregnancy to him, she heard nothing. The Retreat had been ordered and she had no desire to isolate in Evermeet and she never received a letter from him, despite how often she sent them. She decided to raise the girl on her own, with the help of her troupe. 

Growing up

Talilah learned the ins-and-outs of the business, excelling at a performer. She took on the lute, singing, as well as the aerial silks. The rarity of sun elves made her a bit of a novelty, even has just half sun elf. She studied to be a successful bard and continued to work, acting as the distraction for the members who excelled in thievery. It was a good set up and went well for years upon years.

Recent

Until they were betrayed from the inside. Looking for a better payout, the troupe was betrayed by a member romantically involved with Talilah. He tried to convince her to leave with him, but she refused to abandon her mother and adoptive family. This lead her to make a deal with the corrupted nobleman to spare them; work for him as both entertainer and thief, and he would merely keep them imprisoned. While Talilah was on a job, she was taken by the nautiloid, and now she wants to get back to Baldur's Gate to ensure the safety of those she cares for.
