Tomás García-Sánchez obtained his degree in Telecommunication Engineering in 2010 from the Universitat Politècnica de València and his M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering in 2010 from Universitat Politècnica de València and the Universitat de València. In April 2015, he obtained his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, (Barcelona, Spain). Afterwards, he held a 3-year postdoctoral position at Gustave Roussy Institute (CNRS 8203 Paris, France) at Lluis M. Mir's lab, one of the world leaders of the use of electroporation in cancer treatment. In 2018, he obtained a Beatriu de Pinos postdoc fellowship (Government of Catalonia's Secretariat for Universities and Research) at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, (Barcelona, Spain) within the Biomedical Electronics Research group (BERG) lead by Antoni Ivorra. In 2020, he was granted with the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020, European Comission). In the last 10 years, his research has been focused on the study bioelectric phenomena with special emphasis in electroporation-based therapies.
