Tab Master Pro (“the Extension”) is a Chrome browser extension designed to help users organize, manage, and automatically clean their browser tabs. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Extension processes, how it is used, and how it is protected.

Tab Master Pro is built with privacy first.
The Extension does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. All processing occurs locally on the user’s device.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personally identifiable information.
Tab Master Pro does not send any browsing data, personal data, or analytics to external servers.

The only information the Extension accesses is:

1.1. Tab Information (Local Only)

• Tab ID and window ID
  
  

• Tab “last accessed” timestamps (from Chrome API)
  
  

This information is required to provide tab organization, duplicate detection, domain grouping, and automation features.
This data never leaves your device.

2. How Data Is Used (Local Processing Only)

All tab-related information is used exclusively on the user’s device to provide these functions:

2.1. Tab Management

• Group tabs by domain
  
  

• Detect and close duplicate tabs
  
  

• Automatically archive or park inactive windows
  
  

• Manage pinned or idle tabs
  
  

• Enforce maximum tab limits per window
  
  

• Allow search and filtering of saved lists
  
  

2.2. Saved Lists, Workspaces, and Sessions

The Extension may store:

• Saved tab lists
  
  

• User-created workspaces
  
  

• Automation preferences
  
  

• (Optional) local session snapshots
  
  

These are stored using chrome.storage.local, which remains on your device only.

2.3. Automation Features

Automation includes:

• Auto-archiving closed windows
  
  

• Auto-parking inactive windows
  
  

• Auto-pinning favorite apps
  
  

• Auto-restoring workspaces
  
  

• Auto-closing long-idle tabs
  
  

• Maintaining a max number of tabs
  
  

These automations run periodically using Chrome’s chrome.alarms API.
All processing happens locally.

3. No Data Collection or Transmission

Tab Master Pro:

• Does not use remote code execution
  
  

All logic is bundled within the extension package and processed on the device.

4. Permissions Used & Justifications

4.1. tabs Permission

Used to read tab metadata (URL, title, favicon, last accessed) to organize tabs and run automation rules.

4.2. storage Permission

Used to store:

• User settings
  
  

• Automation preferences
  
  

• Saved lists
  
  

• Workspaces
  
  

• Local-only session data
  
  

4.3. scripting Permission

Used to show preview snippets when a user hovers over a tab item in the popup. Only visible text is read, and it is not transmitted or stored beyond the immediate preview.

4.4. alarms Permission

Used to run automation tasks at intervals. No data is transmitted.

4.5. Host Permissions

Required to read tab URLs and domains for grouping, duplicate detection, and automation logic.
Only the domain and tab title are used locally.

5. Data Retention

All data is stored locally on the user’s device.
Users may at any time:

• Delete saved lists
  
  

• Clear history or session snapshots
  
  

• Remove the extension (which clears all stored data)
  
  

No data is retained by us.

6. Third-Party Services

The Extension does not use or integrate with:

• Third-party servers
  
  

• Analytics services
  
  

• Advertising networks
  
  

• External databases
  
  

There is no communication with any remote service.

7. Children’s Privacy

Tab Master Pro does not target or collect data from children.
As no personal data is collected, the extension is safe for all ages.

8. Security

Because no data is transmitted externally, risks are minimized.
All stored data remains inside the browser’s isolated extension storage environment.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect improvements to the Extension.
Any changes will be published on this page, with a new “Last Updated” date.
