My name is Tabitha Diaz. I am a 1st generation college student, a proud lifelong New Yorker, and an avid crafter.
I began my career working in the after-school school system. During my time as an assistant afterschool director, I gained the ability to wear multiple hats and pivot at the drop of a dime. Working with children has been one of the hardest, but most rewarding times of my career (no one can be a harsher critic than a middle school child).
After departing that venture, I moved on to an internship working at a talent agency. Quickly, I began learning all the ins and outs of the industry. I was obsessed. At that moment, I decided that becoming a talent agent would be my career. A year and a half later, I found myself presented with an opportunity to become a commercial talent agent and immediately jumped at the opportunity. The transition from assistant to talent agent was difficult. However, during that time I learned the importance of asking questions.
Now I am pursuing my next adventure as a data analyst combining my skills: asking questions, organizing, collaborating, and expressing complex information. The best phrase I have heard during this transition is that no one grows up saying they want to be a data analyst. I have thought about this statement for a while and though I, in fact, did not grow up wanting to be a data analyst, I am happy that I am here. My previous experiences constantly inform how I look at, work with, and analyze data.
I can't be more thrilled to be on this new and incredible journey!
