This may include:
Original URL
Page title
Favicon
Tab position
Browser window information
Group information
Group name
Group colour
Pinned status
Snooze timestamp
Recovery identifier
This information allows TabFort to restore the original webpage when the user wakes the tab.
Snoozed tabs remain available until the user chooses to wake, close or otherwise manage them.
TabFort does not transmit snoozed-tab recovery information to a TabFort server.
TabFort's Snooze feature is designed to reduce the memory consumed by inactive browser tabs.
During a real-world test involving 577 tabs, approximately 90% reduction in Chrome memory usage was observed.
The same test showed approximately 11.5 GB more system RAM available after snoozing.
These figures are provided as an example of actual test performance and are not guaranteed for every user.
Memory savings may vary depending on:
Websites being snoozed
Number of tabs
Browser version
Browser caching
Installed extensions
Operating system
Available RAM
Background applications
GPU and shared browser processes
System configuration
TabFort includes an optional RAM Monitor.
When enabled by the user, TabFort may use browser-provided system-memory information to display information such as:
Available system memory
Used system memory
Total system memory
Memory before snoozing
Memory after snoozing
Estimated memory recovered
RAM Monitor information is processed locally.
TabFort does not transmit system-memory measurements to the developer or to a TabFort server.
The RAM Monitor reports system-level memory information and should not be interpreted as an exact per-tab memory measurement.
TabFort includes an optional Auto Sleep feature.
When enabled, Auto Sleep periodically checks eligible tabs and their inactivity time.
Users can choose how long a tab must remain inactive before it becomes eligible for automatic snoozing.
TabFort may use browser alarms to perform these checks.
TabFort is designed to protect certain tabs from automatic snoozing where applicable, including:
Active tabs
Pinned tabs
Media-playing tabs
Tabs protected through TabFort settings
Tabs protected through Smart Rules
Auto Sleep configuration and activity information remain local to the browser.

Grouping state
Pinned state
Existing open tabs
This processing is performed only to carry out the automation selected by the user.
Automation settings and processing remain local to the browser unless the user explicitly creates or exports a backup file.
TabFort may provide an optional Auto Group feature.
When enabled, newly opened tabs may automatically be placed into supported native browser tab groups.
Grouping may be based on information such as:
Website
Domain
Category
Smart Rule configuration
Auto Group can be enabled or disabled by the user.
TabFort does not transmit Auto Group activity to a TabFort server.
TabFort may provide an optional Duplicate Guard feature.
When enabled, TabFort may compare the URL of a newly opened tab with existing open tabs.
If an equivalent tab is already open, TabFort may:
Activate the existing tab
Close the newly opened duplicate tab
TabFort may normalize certain URL components when comparing tabs, such as common tracking parameters.
Duplicate Guard operates locally within the browser.
Duplicate Guard can be enabled or disabled by the user.
TabFort can detect duplicate tabs already open in the browser.
Users may review detected duplicates before removing them.
TabFort may provide actions that:
Keep a preferred copy
Close additional duplicate copies
Jump to the retained tab
Where confirmation is presented, TabFort performs the removal only after the user approves the action.
TabFort may use tab activity or last-accessed timestamps to identify tabs that have not been used for a selected period.
This allows users to review tabs that may no longer be needed.
TabFort may allow the user to:
Review unused tabs
Snooze unused tabs
Select unused tabs
Close selected unused tabs after confirmation
TabFort does not use unused-tab information for advertising, profiling or unrelated tracking.
