In short: Tab delete does not collect, sell, or share any of your data. Everything it uses stays in your own Chrome browser and is never sent to us or anyone else.
Tab delete is a Chrome extension that automatically closes tabs you haven't visited in a number of days you choose (5, 7, or 10).
To do its job, Tab delete reads a small amount of information about the tabs you currently have open:
The web address and title of each open tab.
When you last viewed each open tab.
It also keeps a list of up to 25 tabs it has recently closed (their title, address, and when they were closed) so you can reopen them from the extension's popup.
Tab delete does not read your browsing history, the content of web pages, form entries, passwords, or anything you type.
All of this information is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in extension storage. Records for a tab are removed once that tab is closed, and the recently closed list never holds more than 25 entries. Your settings (the day limit and whether to keep pinned or audio-playing tabs) are saved with Chrome's sync storage, which Chrome may sync to your other devices if you have Chrome sync turned on.
We do not send any data to a server. The extension makes no network requests.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.
We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising.
We do not use your data for any purpose other than closing unvisited tabs and letting you reopen them.
Uninstalling Tab delete deletes everything it has stored. You can also clear the recently closed list at any time by reopening those tabs from the popup.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
