OVERVIEW

TabCast ("the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. 

This policy explains what data the Extension does and does not collect.

DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT

TabCast does not collect, transmit, or store any personally identifiable 

information. No article text, browsing history, or usage data is ever 

sent to any external server.

DATA STORED LOCALLY ON YOUR DEVICE ONLY

The Extension stores the following data locally in Chrome storage on 

your device only:

- Your Pro license activation status (yes/no)

- Your selected voice preference

- Your daily play count (resets each day)

This data never leaves your device.

LICENSE VERIFICATION

If you purchase TabCast Pro and enter a license key, the Extension sends 

that key to Gumroad's API (api.gumroad.com) solely to verify its validity. 

No other data is transmitted. This request only occurs when you manually 

click the Verify button.

PERMISSIONS

- activeTab: To read article text from your current tab when you press play

- scripting: To inject the audio player into the active tab

- storage: To save your preferences locally on your device

THIRD PARTIES

We do not sell, share, or transfer any user data to third parties.

CHILDREN

TabCast is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly 

collect data from children.
