Welcome to TaB: To Do, Task & Budget ("TaB", "we", "our", or "us"), developed and published by Oklau Tech. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our mobile application.
Core Privacy Principle: TaB is designed primarily as an offline-first, privacy-focused productivity and budgeting app. Your personal tasks, transactions, expense logs, budget limits, diary entries, and scanned receipts remain stored locally on your device. We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal or financial data.
When you use TaB, all of the following data is stored exclusively in your device's private local database (Room SQLite):
Tasks & Reminders: Task titles, notes, due dates, reminder times, and completion statuses.
Financial Transactions: Amounts, categories, transaction types (Income/Expense), payment accounts (Cash, Bank, Cards), notes, and timestamps.
Budgeting Limits: Category budgets, monthly caps, and financial goals.
Receipts & Documents: Photos of paper receipts, invoices, and PDF e-bills attached to transactions.
Security PIN: Your 4-digit vault security PIN is hashed and stored locally on your device for access authentication.
NOTE
None of this data is uploaded to our servers. If you delete the app or clear its cache without a backup, your local data will be permanently removed.

Used solely to capture physical paper receipts, bills, and invoices for on-device OCR text extraction and transaction attachment.
Images are processed on-device and saved only to your device's private local storage. No images are transmitted to external servers.
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS / SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM)
Used to trigger push notifications and local alarms for your scheduled tasks and bill payment reminders.
Alarms are scheduled locally on the device via Android's AlarmManager.
Storage / Media (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / Media Permissions)
Used to allow you to import PDF e-bills or export backup ZIP archives and financial reports.
Files are accessed only upon your explicit action.
To provide advertising, licensing, and payment infrastructure, TaB integrates trusted third-party SDKs provided by Google:
Google AdMob (Advertising):
For users on the free tier, TaB displays non-intrusive banner, interstitial, or rewarded ads via Google AdMob.
AdMob may collect pseudonymous identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID), device identifiers, IP addresses, and diagnostic/interaction data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, prevent fraud, and measure ad performance.
You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time through your Android device settings: Settings > Google > Ads > Delete advertising ID / Opt out of Ads Personalization.

Google Play In-App Billing:
When you purchase TaB Pro (monthly, annual, or lifetime pass), all payment transactions are handled directly and securely by Google Play.
We never receive, process, or store your credit card, debit card, or bank account information.
Google Play provides us only with anonymous purchase tokens to verify your subscription status.
Google ML Kit (On-Device OCR):
Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for receipt scanning runs 100% on-device using Google ML Kit vision libraries. No scanned images or text are sent to the cloud.
User Control: You have complete control over your data. You can edit or delete any task, transaction, category, or receipt at any time from within the app.
App Uninstallation: Uninstalling TaB automatically removes all local databases, receipt photos, and cached files from your device.
Backup Files: If you use the Export Backup feature, the created ZIP file is saved in the directory you designate. You are responsible for managing, storing, or deleting your exported backup files.
TaB is a general audience productivity and personal finance tool. It is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our third-party ad partners, please contact us at oklau.com@gmail.com, and we will take immediate corrective action.
We take security seriously. All sensitive documents and notes placed in the Vault are protected by your personalized master PIN. Because your financial records and tasks are stored locally, they are protected by Android's application sandbox security architecture.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect app updates, new legal requirements, or changes in our practices. The updated version will always be posted at:

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using TaB: To Do, Task & Budget (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Oklau Tech.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Oklau Tech grants you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use the App on mobile devices owned or controlled by you, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
You agree NOT to:
Decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App.
Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works from the App.
Rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, distribute, or transfer the App to any third party.
Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notice, logo, or trademark of Oklau Tech.
No Financial or Tax Advice: TaB is a digital organizational and calculation tool intended solely for informational and personal budgeting purposes. TaB and Oklau Tech do not provide financial, investment, legal, accounting, or tax advice. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions.
Data Backup Responsibility: Because TaB operates primarily offline, you are responsible for maintaining backups of your data using the built-in backup tools. Oklau Tech is not liable for data loss caused by device failure, uninstallation, hardware damage, or forgotten master PINs.
Accuracy of OCR: While our on-device OCR tool strives for high accuracy, machine recognition of handwritten or degraded paper receipts may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying scanned amounts and merchant names before saving.
Billing: Certain premium features ("TaB Pro") are made available via auto-renewing subscriptions (Monthly or Annual) or a one-time Lifetime purchase. All payments are billed through your Google Play account.
Free Trial: If a free trial is offered, you will be billed after the trial period ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours prior to the conclusion of the trial.
Cancellation & Renewals: Auto-renewable subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled in your Google Play Store Account Settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle.
Refunds: All refund requests are governed by and processed through Google Play's standard refund policies.
The App, including its original code, user interface, brand assets, logos ("TaB"), graphics, sound effects, and design system, is the exclusive intellectual property of Oklau Tech and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws.
THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. OKLAU TECH DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL OKLAU TECH BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR FINANCIAL LOSSES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

When filling out the Google Play Console Data Safety questionnaire for TaB, use these exact answers:
Does your app collect or share any user data?
YES (Due to Google AdMob for advertising and Google Play Billing for subscriptions; select YES as required by Google policy).
Is all of the user data collected by your app encrypted in transit?
YES (All network traffic through Google AdMob and Google Play uses HTTPS/TLS).
Do you provide a way for users to request that their data be deleted?
YES (Users can delete any or all data directly in the app, or uninstall the app to delete all local data).
Data Types Disclosed:
App info and performance: Crash logs, Diagnostics (collected by Google Play Services / AdMob).
Device or other IDs: Advertising ID (collected by Google AdMob for advertising and fraud prevention).
Financial Data: NOT COLLECTED by developer. (Handled directly by Google Play Billing).
Photos / Files: NOT COLLECTED by developer. (Stored strictly on-device in private sandbox).
