Tab Lock Pro ("we", "our", or "the extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Chrome browser extension.

Tab Lock Pro is designed with privacy as a core principle. We want to be clear about what we do NOT collect:

Information Stored Locally

All data is stored locally on your device only using Chrome's storage API:

What Gets Stored:

• Master Password Hash - Your password is hashed using SHA-256 and stored locally (not the actual password)

• Locked Tabs List - Tab IDs and URLs of tabs you've locked

• Extension Settings - Your preferences (biometric toggle, auto-lock settings, etc.)

• Pro License Key (if applicable) - Your license key for Pro features

• Biometric Credentials - Stored securely by your device's operating system (Face ID/Touch ID)

Where It's Stored:

• All data is stored using chrome.storage.local API

• Data never leaves your computer

• Data is tied to your Chrome profile

• Data is deleted when you uninstall the extension

How We Use Your Data

Since all data stays on your device:

1. Master Password - Used to verify your identity when unlocking tabs

2. Locked Tabs - Used to maintain the list of tabs you want protected

3. Settings - Used to customize your experience (auto-lock timers, stealth mode, etc.)

4. License Key - Used to verify your Pro subscription status

Third-Party Services

Payment Processing

When you purchase the Pro version:

• Payments are processed by Gumroad (https://gumroad.com)

• Gumroad has its own privacy policy: https://gumroad.com/privacy

• We receive only your license key (no payment details)

License Verification

• We verify license keys with Gumroad's API

• Only the license key is transmitted (no other data)

• Verification happens once during activation

• No ongoing tracking or data transmission

• Modify - Change settings anytime in the extension

Children's Privacy

Tab Lock Pro does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Since we don't collect any data at all, the extension is safe for all ages.

Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Changes will be posted:

The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.

Data Retention

• While Installed - Data remains on your device

• After Uninstall - All data is automatically deleted by Chrome

• No Backups - We don't maintain backups of your data
