Tab Audio Boost Router is designed for one purpose: boost the volume of individual browser tabs and route the audio to user-selected output devices.
The extension captures tab audio locally using Chrome's tabCapture API, processes it through a Web Audio GainNode for volume adjustment, and plays it through the chosen device using the setSinkId API. Audio data never leaves the user's device.
Depending on the features used, Tab Audio Boost Router may process:
Audio stream from the active browser tab, captured locally and processed for volume adjustment. Audio data stays on the device and is not transmitted anywhere.
Extension settings and user preferences, including per-device volume settings stored in browser local storage.
A locally generated or anonymous user identifier (for Pro features).
Pro or billing status metadata.
Data is used only to:
Provide the extension's stated single-purpose workflow: boosting tab audio volume and routing it to a selected output device.
Save per-device volume preferences.
Verify Pro status.
Complete user-requested settings or checkout actions.
The extension uses browser local storage (chrome.storage.local) to save settings, per-device volume preferences, anonymous user IDs, and Pro status.
Users can remove local extension data by uninstalling the extension or clearing extension/site data in the browser.
Tab Audio Boost Router may contact product services for Pro status verification, trial activation, or checkout flows.
All audio processing happens entirely on the user's device. No audio data is ever sent to any server.
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. Tab Audio Boost Router does not store full credit card numbers.
The product may receive limited payment metadata, such as Pro status or transaction status, to enable paid features.
Tab Audio Boost Router does not sell user data.
Audio data is never transmitted outside the user's browser.
Data may be shared only with service providers needed to operate the product, such as billing or Pro status verification.
Local extension data remains in the browser until the user clears it or removes the extension.
Server-side data, if any, is retained only as long as needed to provide the product, maintain billing records, or resolve support requests.
