FAQs: Tech4Girls Masterclass in How to Build Your Online Personal Brand Workshop!

1. Is there a cost to attend this event?

§ No, this event is free to all participants.

2. How can I register to attend this event?

§ Participants can register by clicking on this link https://sites.google.com/view/t4g-materclass-workshop/registration.

§ Upon registration, participants will receive a confirmation email.

§ To finalise your attendance, participants will receive a meeting link to add to your calendar as well as further instructions including the link to download the Participant’s Resource Toolkit.


3. How do I prepare for this event?

§ All persons registered to attend this personal branding workshop will be required to attend a 1-hour pre-event workshop on Friday 29th, April 2021 at 9:00 A.M. to strengthen your understanding of Google Sites.

§ Participants should attempt to complete the 6 simple exercises identified in the Participant’s Resource Toolkit.


4. What happens if I am unable to attend the pre-event training scheduled on Friday 29h, April 2022?

§ It is strongly recommended that participants attend the 1-hour pre-event training on Friday 29th, April 2022. If unable to do so, time will be allocated during the first session of the workshop for the participants who were unable to attend.


5. What time do I sign into the event on Saturday 30th, April 2022?

§ It is recommended that participants sign into the event at least 15 minutes before the start at 8:45 a.m. The event platform will be open for participants at 8:30 a.m.

6. What technology do I need for this event?

§ Participants must have access to a laptop/computer and the Internet.

§ We do not recommend using your mobile, as you may have difficulty completing the activities during the workshop.


7. What do you do to ensure a safe environment online experience?

§ TATT and our partners are committed to ensuring that all participants have an enjoyable and safe online experience. Therefore, we ask participants to read and follow the Code of Conduct (please click here).

§ To offer privacy and security for our participants, all attendees are required to register ahead of time and must use the name they registered with on the day of the workshop.

§ Participants who have not registered to attend the event will not be allowed to participate in the workshop.

§ During the workshop, participants are encouraged to pose questions, queries, and comments via the “Q&A” feature within Zoom or using the chatbox. A moderator will review and address your questions through the chatbox, etc. You may also use the “raise hand” feature to directly speak to the facilitators or tech support.

8. How do I get support if I have issues accessing the event or during the workshop?

§ Tech support will be provided throughout the workshop. Participants can send an email to rsc_intl@yahoo.com.

§ The personal branding facilitator will also have support staff to assist and guide participants through the exercises throughout the workshop.


9. Will sessions be available post-event, and for how long?

§ Although the event will be recorded, the sessions will not be available post-event. However, participants will be given a free e-book on How to Build Your Online Personal Branding that can be used to further develop their personal brand.

10. What activities can participants expect during the workshop?

§ There is a brief formal Opening Ceremony taking place at 9:00 a.m. At the Opening Ceremony, participants will have the opportunity to hear from our thought-provoking, motivational featured speakers including Ms. Abby Ria Charles and Ms. Nikkia Reveillac, both hosts of the podcast “Who She Feel She Is” which “aims to inspire aspiring Caribbean Women leaders and to challenge those in power to advocate for them.”

§ After the Opening Ceremony, participants will start the first session of the personal branding workshop.

§ During the workshop, participants will engage in several exercises to define and develop their online personal brand.

§ At the end of the workshop, participants will submit their e-portfolios to enter the Personal Branding Competition. More information about the competition will be disclosed during the workshop. Prizes will be awarded to the top five contenders in the Personal Branding Competition, and they will be invited to attend a ceremony at the Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago’s Office located at 5, Eighth Avenue Extension, off Twelfth Street, Barataria at a date to be advised in May 2022.

§ At the workshop, participants will be asked to complete and submit the event survey form. A winner will be chosen at random from participants who have completed the survey to win a special prize from Bmobile, one of the partners of the event.

§ Participants will receive an e-certificate of participation via email after the workshop in May 2022.

11. Will there be any post-event promotion of the event via interviews, etc.?

§ TATT and our partners may reach out to the winners of the Personal Branding Competition to be interviewed about their experiences.

§ Participants will be asked to turn on their webcam, to capture photos of participants and which may be used in post-event promotional material.

12. If I have completed the registration process, but I am unable to attend, how can I cancel my registration?

§ If you have completed the registration process but are unable to attend, please immediately inform the organizers of this event via email at tech4girls@tatt.org.tt, as limited spaces are available. This will afford another person to participate in the workshop.
