The International Conference on Technology 4 Education (T4E 2025) is organized by the EdTech Society, India, and hosted by IIT Madras. T4E 2025 will be held in Chennai, India, from December 5th to 7th, 2025. The earlier twelve T4E conferences were held across India in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kharagpur, Kollam, Warangal, Mumbai, Chennai, Goa, Mumbai and Gandhinagar starting from 2009.
To present an expansive view of connections between technology and education, the T4E conference has, since 2023, expanded its scope as well as its full form, i.e. “T4E - Technology for, of, in, across education.”
Technology for education: Development of tools to support learning, teaching and various aspects of education
Technology of education: Understanding the processes and conditions in which learning and teaching take place within technology-supported environments
Technology in education: Using technology to support learning and teaching in various contexts; pedagogical strategies for technology-enhanced learning
Technology across education: Using technology to enhance access to education across geographies, educational levels and societies
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Article 26) states that education shall be directed to the full development of the human personality and to the strengthening of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. It shall promote understanding, tolerance, and friendship among diverse groups of humanity. Despite the growth of technology in education, the opportunities available for a majority of our citizens remain limited. Continuing from 2024, at T4E2025 we again ask researchers, practitioners and educators to expand the boundaries of how we conceive of innovations in education and consider how technology, both big and small, can bridge educational differences among diverse groups and level the educational playing field. With AI tools becoming increasingly accessible and their capabilities growing at a rapid pace, it is especially important to consider how we use AI to expand human learning in an ethical and equitable manner. Finally, we encourage participants to think beyond traditional curricular goals in education and ask how technology can foster the development of well-rounded, democratically aware citizens who can observe, question and critique.
In this spirit, T4E 2025 will be a forum to bring together people who are broadly interested in understanding ways in which learning and teaching can be enhanced with technology, as well as new roles for technology in educational processes. We invite submissions from participants in universities, colleges, schools, industry, government organizations and NGOs to share their work in this emerging interdisciplinary area. To address the needs and interests of different participants via a variety of session formats the conference includes paper sessions, poster sessions, interactive workshops, best practices and teaching demo sessions and tools and product showcases.
