Vortex ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Vortex: Step Counter & Daily Walker mobile application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

1. Data Collection and Usage

No Account Required: Vortex does not require user registration or logins. Your progress data is stored locally on your device via secure on-device storage (GetStorage).
Fitness Tracking: The app accesses your device's native hardware sensors to count steps, estimate calories, and track distance. This data is processed entirely on-device and is never sent to any external server.
Third-Party Ads: We use Unity Ads to display advertisements. Unity Ads may automatically collect technical device data (Device model, OS version, IP address, and Google Advertising ID) according to their own privacy policy to serve relevant ads.

2. Device Permissions

Physical Activity (ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION): Required to read the built-in step counter sensor to track your daily steps.
Internet (INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Required to fetch and display ads from the Unity Ads network.

3. Data Sharing and Retention

We do not sell or share personal user data with anyone. Technical data is shared only with Unity Ads.
Uninstalling the app or clearing app cache will instantly and permanently erase all your local data from your device.

4. Children’s Privacy & Security

Vortex is safe for all users and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13 years old.
We use standard security practices to protect all local data.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy over time. Your continued use of the app constitutes agreement to any changes.
